Company introduces smart cap for ‘Insulin FlexTouch Pen,’ 바카라 토토 사이트, enhancing data integration and visualization of information through SugarGenie app

[by Ji, Yong Jun] Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals (hereinafter referred to as Novo Nordisk Korea) announced on July 7 that it has entered into a service partnership to integrate ‘Mallya,’ a smart cap designed for the ‘Insulin FlexTouch pen,’ with ‘SugarGenie,’ a mobile health application developed by Health2Sync.

The two companies have established a shared objective of enhancing convenience for diabetes patients by enabling more efficient management of insulin administration records through this service partnership.

In a multinational survey involving diabetes patients undergoing insulin treatment and physicians treating such patients, 27.6% of patients reported difficulties in administering insulin at a consistent time or in conjunction w바카라 토토 사이트h meals every day. In the same study, 54.5% of physicians also indicated challenges in ensuring that patients adhered to scheduled insulin administration during injection-based treatment.

Launched in Korea last year, Mallya is a smart cap designed to be attached to the 바카라 토토 사이트 Nordisk Korea’s ‘Insulin FlexTouch Pen.’ By connecting to a mobile application via Bluetooth, it automatically transmits and records data on insulin dosage as well as the date and time of administration. This functionality increased convenience by allowing patients to manage their injection history more effectively and facilitates the sharing of treatment-related information with healthcare professionals.

Through its service partnership with SugarGenie, 바카라 토토 사이트 is enhancing its capabilities for data integration and information visualization. This collaboration enables patients to automatically log their insulin administration data and share it in real time with caregivers and healthcare providers. Medical staff, in turn, can access not only the patient’s insulin injection history but also additional data, such as blood glucose levels, meal records, and physical activity, entered in the app through the patient management platform linked with Sugar Genie.
